Joseph Abate works on VLF antenna fabrication and measurements, and impedance matching network design, fabrication, and testing. He utilized the opportunity to learn about VLF antennas and gain hands-on experience in antenna piezoelectric and magnetic materials applications, fabrication, circuit simulations using LTSpice, Pspice, MATLAB; and electrical measurements using Vector Network Analyzer, Impedance, and Spectrum Analyzers. As a team member, he played an active role in meeting program goals.
Joseph has good experience in electrical circuit design and measurements which he implemented well for two different impedance matching networks and antenna measurements successfully. He is good at carrying out systematic electrical measurements using complex network and spectrum analyzers. He also has a good theoretical understanding of various EE concepts. He is fully ready to pursue research and a doctoral degree in engineering.
